The worldwide cargo market is forecasted to grow at an annual growth rate of 4% for the next decade and the Indian cargo market at about 6.3%.
Freighter carriers account for majority of revenue within the air cargo business. The Indian Air Cargo market has been constrained for a number of years with no meaningful growth in available freighter capacity, especially in and out of the country.
In 2021, Indian carriers carried only 900,000 tonnes (29%) out of the 3.1 million tonnes of Indian Air Cargo due to the lack of available cargo capacity. This resulted in a huge loss in foreign exchange and providing business to International Freight carriers.
Raptor Cargo has been conceptualized to be the future of Indian Air Cargo. Operating flexibly with a mixed fleet of narrow body and wide body freighters, it will cater to capacity, range and destination choices around the world to Indian Customers.
Raptor Cargo will be based out of Bangalore, and will operate from all major air cargo terminals within the country to destinations all over the world.
Raptor Cargo intends to make India the next biggest air cargo trans-shipment hub of the world.
Raptor Cargo aims to provide a Global Footprint to its customers with aircraft, technology and infrastructure including the traffic rights, regulatory expertise and a global control center needed to expand their operations.
